Candles and home fragrance: our selection
Baobab candles are instantly recognisable by their large hand-blown or decorated glass holders, which can be reused as decorative pieces once the candle has burnt down. They come in several sizes (from the small “My First Baobab” to the Max 10, 16, 24 formats and beyond) and collections: Pearls, Stones, Sacred Trees, Heritage, Riviera, Atlas… Pure Altitude, for its part, offers the Fleurs de Neige candle and the matching Eau de Maison room fragrance.
Getting the best from a scented candle
- The first time you light it, let it burn until the whole surface of the wax has melted, to avoid “tunnelling”.
- Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each use.
- Never leave a lit candle unattended, or within reach of children or pets.
- Air the room regularly, especially if you are sensitive to fragrance.
Home fragrance and health
People with asthma or allergies, or who are very sensitive to smells, may not tolerate home fragrances well. If that applies to you, use them for short periods in a well-ventilated room, avoid a baby’s bedroom and air the room often. We are happy to advise you at the counter.

Can Baobab candles be delivered?
Yes, the candles in our online shop can be collected from the pharmacy in Cologny or delivered within Switzerland. For the very large sizes, please contact us to check availability.
How long does a scented candle last?
It depends on the size of the candle and how you use it; the manufacturer usually gives an indication. Trimming the wick and keeping the candle out of draughts both extend the burning time.
Is a scented candle suitable for someone with asthma?
Home fragrances can irritate the airways of sensitive people. Limit how long you use them, air the room and avoid using them in the bedroom. If you notice any breathing discomfort, stop using them.
